Which Rapid Chlamydia and Gonorrhea Test Is Right for You?
Every rapid chlamydia test here is also a rapid gonorrhea test. Both tests check for the two infections together, so you can't test for just one.
Neither test has an office fee. Credit card payments add a 3.5% fee; there's no fee on debit, HSA, or FSA cards.

Come in if you have symptoms such as unusual discharge, burning when you urinate, or bleeding between periods. Come in, too, if a partner tells you they tested positive, or after sex with a new partner.
Most people with chlamydia don't know they have it, because it often causes no symptoms. A test is the only way to be sure. If you do have symptoms, the doctor examines you at the same visit.

How Accurate Is the Rapid Chlamydia Test?
Both tests are PCR tests: they look for the bacteria's DNA, the same kind of test labs use. The FDA has cleared both for use in a doctor's office.

The right treatment cures chlamydia. Don't have sex until your treatment is finished and your partners have been treated; the doctor will tell you exactly when. Get tested again in about 3 months, because repeat infections are common.

What is the fastest way to get tested for chlamydia?
A rapid PCR test, sometimes called an instant chlamydia test. Ours gives you a result in about 30 minutes, while lab tests, including ours, take 3 to 5 business days.
Is there a rapid test for just chlamydia?
No. Both rapid tests check for chlamydia and gonorrhea together, and the $180 test for women adds trichomoniasis. You can't pay for chlamydia alone.
Does a rapid test check the throat or rectum after oral or anal sex?
No. The rapid tests use urine or a vaginal swab only. If you had oral or anal sex, we test your throat or rectum with our regular lab test. Testing only urine or the genitals can miss infections in the throat or rectum.
Can I get tested for chlamydia for free in NYC?
